Hilliary DeVall - Office Manager/Teaching Staff

Hilliary DeVall has been with JCDC since April 2019 as the Office Manager and joined the JCDC teaching staff in 2021.

Hilliary received her Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies with teaching licensure from Averett University and her Masters in Curriculum & Instruction and Instructional Technology from University of Virginia. She taught kindergarten for five years in Pittsylvania County before making a full time move to JCDC July of 2020.

Hilliary is a Danville native who grew up in the dance world. She spent 13 years training at the Meredith Gravely School of Dance in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, contemporary, and hip hop. During her time there, she attended numerous Dance Masters of America dance conventions, participated in guest choreographer classes held by the studio, and was cast in the dance troupe with The Great Russian Ballet’s performance of “The Nutcracker” in 2003.

Hilliary is very excited to share her love of dance with everyone at JCDC! She will still be serving in her full capacity as office manager, costume guru, account fixer, order placer, and question answering to all of our wonderful JCDC family!

Hilliary is married to her husband, Trey. They have one son, Archer and a Jack Russel Terrier mix, Ellie. They live on a 65 acre farm in Pittsylvania County.

Jade Jordan - Teaching Staff

Jade Jordan grew up in Goldsboro, NC and started dancing at the age of 3 at Goldsboro School Of Ballet. She continued her dance career at Meredith College and graduated in May of 2021 with a B.A in Dance with a concentration in Private Studio Teaching and also earned her Professional Performance Certificate.

While at Meredith Jade was part of Meredith Dance Theatre, Meredith Improv Group, and was Vice President of the dance honor society,Meredith Dance Association. Jade received awards for her Performance and Outstanding Growth which was given by faculty while at Meredith. She has had the opportunity to participate and perform at the American College Dance Association and the North Carolina Dance Education Organization.

Jade has been trained in many styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, irish, modern, and contemporary. Jade is excited to be teaching at Jodie Carroll Dance Company and can’t wait to show the students at JCDC her love for dance and teaching!

Loren Cox - Teaching Staff

Loren began her dance training at the age of 7. She began her training under Jodie Carroll in 2015 studying styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, acro, hip hop, and clogging. Loren has been an assistant teacher since 2017 following Jodie as she opened Jodie Carroll Dance Company in 2018.

Loren became a member of North Carolina Dance Ambassadors in 2020 where she was able to take classes under the direction of Sherrod Tate, Rachael Markarian, and Casey Noblett.

Loren has been a competitive dancer since 2016 receiving numerous awards for her solos, duets, trios, and group dances.

Loren is very excited to join the JCDC staff for the 2023-2024 dance season. She is looking forward to teaching classes and helping our dancers develop a love and excitement for dance.
